Having just returned from warmer climes I am acutely aware of the cold weather that has crept in while away! I have returned home to be able to put my winter wardrobe into full use... long chunky sweaters, down filled coats and best of all LFA sheepskin boots!

The wedge styles are great for those who like to keep their look more sophisticated, or just can't bear to be out of heels! There's the Audrey a classic long natural boot available with or without the ankle strap (in store only) and the Liza a chocolate ankle length with antique gold bottons. Wear them turned up or down. I've blogged about the Flori blouse before but this time it's personal! I just had to have it in my wardrobe for over the Christmas period... with dates in my diary filling up fast this blouse will see me through a whole host of occasions, the perfect addition!

I'll wear it with my cropped black pants, jacket and heels for evening glamour, my favorite MiH Roadtrip jeans and high boots for lunch with the girls and my leather pencil skirt for drinks out in town. So all in all I'm sorted...roll on Christmas!

Paige Premium Denim's Verdugo Jeggings are of the extreme variety and I had until this weekend avoided even tyring them on, now I have I must have a pair before they all go!

Contrary to being tight uncomfortable and unflattering they were simply snug and firm, holding me in all the right places! (Bum and thighs) They looked great with all of my varied footwear from the highest of shoes and ankle boots through to knee high boots and flats. What an instant update to my wardrobe! knitwear, shirts, tunics and jackets all had a new lease of life.

What I loved about them, other than the reappearance of shapely legs! was the ease of slipping into my long boots, no folding and tucking of fabric, no bagging and puckering at the knee. We all know Kate Moss can wear them, but I was surprised that as the result of tyring something scary on...I can too!

There's Something Fishy Going On...

Today I experinced something, I think it's safe to say, fairly unique! Ever since Ugly Betty's Queen of the Scheme, Wilomena, seduced Mode Boss (& ex neighbour) Bradford Mead by having her tootsies nibbled by teeny tiny fish I have been desparate to try my hand (or feet) at it!!! At first I wasn't sure if it was actually a 'real' thing but then to my complete delight & amazement, the treatment landed in Carlisle just before Christmas! Velvet 7, a hugely trendy hair salon who we have been privileged to work with on a number of occasions, has brought the treatment to Carlisle amid a frenzy of press coverage! So it was with great anticipation that I made my way to the salon (handily just around the corner from our very own boutique) this afternoon! After rinsing my feet in a fresh basin of warm water I sat on the comfy bench & prepared to lower my feet...At this point I resolutely dismissed the comments of my boyfriends friend "what if they've switched the fish with piarnhas"??? and plunged my feet into the tank! The fish 'swarmed' (theres literally no other word) to my feet and after 25 minutes were still nibbling away! There was no nips, no soreness, just a pleasent tickling sensation & when I finally stood up & dried off my feet were so baby smooth & gorgeous I signed up for another session immediately! It may seem a tad odd but I would recommend this to anyone! It really does work - maximum result for minimum effort, fun & the perfect way to prep you're feet for all those summer sandles (watch out for the brand new Vivienne Westwood Wedge - coming soon)

Thought we would update you of what we've been up to this month. As well as dealing with all of the gorgeous new Spring Summer stock arriving daily we have been working with a new up and coming local Jewellery Designer Charlotte Draper on building her new web site. On location in the beautiful North Cumbrian countryside on a sunny March day Charlotte, three enthusiastic but cold models, molly the photographer and myself set about putting together a photo shoot. To complement the Jewellery, Chameleon provided clothing from the new Spring Summer collections, and I snapped away with my trusty Cannon to record an informal record of the proceedings, which i hope you enjoy.

Oh dear, I must apologise for our absence of late - February is no time to be wishing you a Happy New Year! Mummy & Mini Chameleon have been UBER busy with all the new and gorgeous Spring collections arriving in store and literally haven't had a spare second So, to make up for this I am now going to give you girls a run through of what to expect from all your favourite labels this season!

Chameleon's Christmas Panto...

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess who slept for a hundred years. When she awoke she looked around and found she had nothing to wear. The princess cried in despair. “How can I go to the Ball & sip Bellini’s with my friends? If only I had a fabulous new outfit!” Suddenly, she saw a strange pink light in the sky. The princess rubbed her eyes to see if she was dreaming but when she looked again a lady dressed in skinny jeans stood before her holding a wand! “Don’t cry princess, I am you’re fairy god-stylist. You are going to the ball but first we must venture far across the land of Cumbria to Chameleon Boutique in Carlisle.”

When the princess arrived at Chameleon, her eyes sparkled as she saw the rails of pretty dresses and sequined cardigans. She simply couldn’t resist trying the most perfect jeans she had ever seen and when she laid eyes on the Vivienne Westwood ‘Lady Dragon’ heels her heart skipped a beat! In all the excitement, the princess forgot that she had not yet picked a party dress! “Oh dear me” said the fairy god-stylist who was sipping a warm glass of mulled wine, “that will never do!” With a wave of her wand the princess’s old clothes disappeared and she stood in the most beautiful dress she had ever seen! The jewelled bodice sparkled as she twirled and a dainty bangle glinted at her wrist! “Oh” she said, “how can I ever thank you?” “Just have a wonderful time dancing with your friends” said the fairy god-stylist pointing to the hot pink heels that had magically appeared on her feet.

The princess smiled in delight and clasped her many pink carrier bags in her hands! She took her first steps into the crisp night air, meeting her Prince Charming that very evening! The princess never again had to worry about what to wear. She visited Chameleon regularly, married the Prince & lived stylishly ever after…
